Herbs for Gut Health by Dr Ayurveda

Ever wondered why your favorite fruit yogurt might not be as "healthy" as it looks? In Ayurveda, this is a classic example of Viruddha Ahara or incompatible food combinations. While fruit and yogurt are nutritious on their own, pairing them can wreak havoc on your system.
Why avoid the mix?
* Digestive Fire (Agni): Fruits are digested very quickly, while yogurt takes much longer. This mismatch "confuses" your metabolism.
* Toxin Accumulation: When fast-digesting sugars sit in the gut waiting for dairy to process, they can ferment, leading to the creation of Ama (toxins).
* Congestion: This specific combo is known to be heavy and "channel-clogging," often leading to skin issues, allergies, or sinus congestion.
